We operate four venues, produce over 17 main stage shows, and tour over 15 educational shows to schools throughout Virginia and beyond.

1) What kind of internships do you offer?
Virginia Rep offers both summer internships and seasonal, yearlong internships. For more information about which internships are being offered this year, please see our internships page.
2) Who is eligible to apply?
All applicants for an internship at Virginia Rep must:
- be at least 16 years of age;
- reside in or be able to relocate to Richmond, VA;
- meet the listed qualifications for the internship; and
- be able to commit to the entire duration of the program.
Summer internships are designed for current students looking to supplement their study, whereas seasonal internships are designed for recent graduates looking to gain full-time professional experience in their field.

4) May I submit supplementary application materials?
Please submit only the specifically requested materials. Applications that do not adhere to the application guidelines will not be considered.
5) May I apply for more than one internship?
Please select only one internship for which to apply, and be sure to include it in the subject line of your email.
6) Are Virginia Rep interns compensated? Is housing provided?
Virginia Rep interns receive a weekly stipend that is paid bi-weekly. Housing is available for out-of-town interns; if you choose to reside in company housing, the stipend will be $130/week. If you are able to find your own housing, the stipend will be $180/week.
High school students are not compensated and are not eligible for company housing.
7) Do I need a car?
We encourage you to bring a car if you are able to. Public transportation is available in Richmond, but not entirely reliable. Transportation to and from work and performances will be the responsibility of the intern.
