To celebrate its tenth anniversary year, Cadence returns to the playwright with whose work it began: Sam Shepard. A finalist for the 1983 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, True West is a powerful and intense story about estranged brothers Austin and Lee - one a well-educated screenwriter, the other a drifter and a thief - meeting at their mother's home after five years apart. Cadence's innovative production will ask the audience to decide before each performance which actor will portray Austin and which will portray Lee, revealing the universality of complicated family dynamics.
