It Matters Beyond the Stage

As one of our core principals, Virginia Repertory Theatre strives to entertain, challenge, and uplift our communities through the power of live theatre — all of our communities — even those who might otherwise face hurdles to enjoying live theatre.

Sensory Friendly Performances – reduced sensory-stimulation shows for children with autism and other sensory, social, or learning disabilities.

Tactile Tours and Audio Description - pre-show tactile tour and real-time audio description of the visual parts of a show for patrons who are blind or visually impaired.

Induction Loop Hearing System – connects with digital hearing aids to amplify the performance audio at the November Theatre.

Community Ticket Grants - free or deeply discounted tickets offered to individuals or community nonprofit groups in need.
