Virginia Repertory Theatre
Virginia Repertory Theatre is a regional professional theater headquartered in downtown Richmond, and is one of the largest performing arts organizations in Central Virginia.
Virginia Rep stages three primary seasons: the Signature Season and the Jessie Bogese Family Season at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre downtown at 114 West Broad St., and the Barksdale Season at Hanover Tavern at Hanover Courthouse Rd.
Virginia Rep recently celebrated the 70th anniversary of its founding in Hanover County in 1953 as Barksdale Theatre. In 2012, after over a decade of sharing one staff, Barksdale Theatre and Theatre IV merged to form Virginia Rep.
