As the largest theatre in Central Virginia, your support is vital to our mission to entertain, challenge, and uplift our communities through the power of live theatre. Virginia Rep performs for over 45,000 theatre lovers annually, but ticket sales only comprise 55% of our budget.
Your tax-deductible gift supports homegrown, professional theatre, employing over 200 performers, designers, musicians, technicians, carpenters, and artists each year – 90% of whom are local to Richmond. Contributions fuel our youth education programs, community engagement efforts, and accessibility programs like our work with Title I schools, Community Ticket Grants, and Pay-What-You-Will Nights.

Director of Development
Kiffy Werkheiser
Kiffy joined Virginia Rep as Director of Development in August 2024. She is a high energy philanthropy professional with a record of driving impactful change for nonprofit organizations in Central Virginia. A native of Hopewell, Virginia, some of her previous roles include Director of Community Engagement at John Randolph Foundation, Director of Development for Friends of the Lower Appomattox River (FOLAR), Director of Donor Relations at The James House, and adjunct professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Richmond. She holds a BA in Women’s Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), and an MA in Sociology from VCU. Outside of the Rep, Kiffy enjoys stand-up comedy, live music, kayaking, and most of all, being a mom to two young daughters.
