A chronic hoarder, Sam has a lifetime of memories carefully preserved in his home — even if it looks like a mess to everyone else. After a court order to clean up, Sam is forced to confront his fear of forgetting, and  face the possibility of losing the very objects that anchor him to his past. As pressure mounts from family, authorities, and time itself, what starts as a battle over boxes becomes something much deeper.  I Need That is a fiercely funny and unexpectedly moving new play, and a poignant look at love, loss, and all the things we cling to in order to feel whole.
