Vivian holds a master’s degree in Acting from the New School for Drama in New York City as well as a masters in Educational Theater from NYU. Working for over a decade as an actor in New York, Vivian found her love of teaching through the joys of youth-driven theater. She adores young people and believes with all her spirit that theater creates avenues for young people to develop their worldviews, empathy, and become contributing and inclusive community members.

Gracie is the Education Assistant at Virginia Rep and an actor in the Richmond community. With a BFA in Musical Theatre from VCUarts, she brings both performing and teaching expertise to her work. Gracie has extensive experience working with students of all ages, but is especially dedicated to inspiring a love of theatre in young people.

VA REP SUMMER PRODUCTION APPRENTICESHIPS:

Two openings are available for our VA REP Production Apprenticeship. This FREE program offers intensive, hands-on experience in a professional regional theater setting. Apprentices work directly under the supervision of seasoned production staff and designers, playing an integral role in the mounting of our Summer Showtime Broadway Jr. Musical!

Responsibilities include assisting in build, paint, setup, and strike. Serving on run crew for shows, including supervised operation of deck machinery, sound board, or helping with costume quick-changes. Collaborating with technical directors, props masters, and lighting designers on daily operations. Attending production meetings and contributing to backstage communication.  Assisting with maintenance of the theater facility and technical equipment.

Please note that this is not a counselor position; in no way will our apprentices be responsible for camper/child-supervision.
