Tickets for Kids Program

As part of our commitment to make theatre available to all children and families, Va Rep maintains its longstanding Tickets for Kids program. Through this program, we donate 8-10 percent of all Children's Theatre of Virginia tickets in Richmond, Va to less advantaged and/or disabled children and families.

We work with several community-based organizations to identify children and families who do not have the financial resources to attend theatrical performances, and offer these families free tickets to Children's Theatre of Virginia productions throughout the season.

Since its inception, and with the support of the philanthropic community, Tickets for Kids has provided tens of thousands of free tickets to identified children and families in the Greater Richmond area. If not for our program, many of the children we serve may never otherwise have the opportunity to experience the wonder of live theatre.

Requirements

Organizations that would like to benefit from this program must fill out the Tickets for Kids Form (doc).

Organizations must also send a Letter of Request on the organization's letterhead, including the following information:

  • Name of your program (if a program of the larger organization)
  • Nature of program
  • Population served
  • Date(s) of show(s) requested. *Please include alternate dates.
