MFA Professional Actor Training Program

Virginia Rep is proud to partner with the University of Virginia’s MFA Professional Actor Training Program. This two-year, highly selective program offers an ongoing integration between academic work and professional experience. Students participate in new play development through the new biannual Playwrights Weekend at Virginia Rep. In addition Virginia Rep provides an opportunity for the MFA candidates to perform with an Equity company at a professional theatre.

Virginia Rep is thrilled to have access to a very talented pool of actors. In 2014, two students had lead roles in Moliere’s comic masterpiece, Tartuffe, and in Jon Robin Baitz’s contemporary work, Other Desert Cities.
