Dedication - Lou Dean

Lou DeanWith great affection and respect, we dedicate this production to the memory of Lou Dean. A legendary radio personality (he hosted countless programs on WRVA from 1957 until 2000), Lou was also a lifelong, enthusiastic supporter of the nonprofit performing arts. Whenever we asked for radio coverage, he bent over backwards to make it happen. After retirement, he personally emceed hundreds of performances at Dogwood Dell. For years, it was his recorded voice that welcomed you back home to Richmond when you landed at the airport. As a journalist, he not only covered your stories, he knew you on a first-name basis. In a world where everything changes, Lou’s friendship was a constant. We miss him greatly.
